Welcome to our broodmare page, all of our broodmares live with us and are available for inspection if you are viewing a foal. 

Our broodmares are choosen for their breeding, confirmation competition records, temperament and last but not least colour.

Our mares range from 17.1hh solid coloured dressage , RIHS & HOYS  mares to 15.2hh coloured dressage horses.  We therefore have a wide selection of youngstock for sale both plain and coloured.

Our mares have been inspected  and passed a grading from their respective breed societies.  We only breed from world class Graded stallions  so you can be assured that you are purchasing a youngster that is bred for paces, conformation, trainablility and meets a very high standard. 

     

In an effort to raise our standards even higher, we now look towards having our  foals evaluated,  Winona’s foal from last year (CDS Sapphire) was  graded and branded by the Oldenburg Judges, being awarded pink papers and a 1st premium, they also commented that she was the best foal they had seen this year, prasie indeed!!  CDS Sapphire was also presented at Brightwells in August 09 and was 2nd in the Drerssage Stars of the future foal catergory and the only foal to recieve a standing ovation on her trot round!

Since going to her new owner CDS Sapphire went to her 1st show in February and has qualified for HOYS in the youngstock in hand showing, winning a large class againt older horses.  Good luck to Sapphire and Janey

 CDS Winona   (Weltmeyer x Eisenhertz x Maigraf).  

      

1996 – 17hh Double branded pink papered Hannovarian mare.  Head studbook, graded with Oldenburg, German Hann Soc & BWB.  A big moving, elegant,  kind and beautiful mare  - sire Weltmeyer. 

Bred by the owner of Weltmeyer and  graded with Oldenburg, Hann & BWB, Winona herself, is a pink papered double branded hannovarian mare, (Weltmeyer x Eisenhertz x Maigraf).  Her sire, Weltmeyer, sired 70 approved stallions, he produced champions in the stallion performance tests and bundeschampionships. His daughters also belong to the class of top quality mares; 242 mares became State Premium Mare and in mares tests,  a large collection of his fillies can be found in the top five. With a dressage index of 189 points Weltmeyer belongs to the 10 best Dressage Sires in the World ever.

She was successfully competed in British Dressage gaining a number of points before being retired to stud.

She has amazing off the floor paces and super temperament which she passes onto her offspring.  She has consistantly produced amazing offspring.  Her 09 filly CDS Sapphire, was 2nd at Brightwells best bred foal,  beating enteries fom Holland, and boh of the foals we have had wih her have awarded pink papers & premium status by the Oldenburg Verbrand Judges on their inspections to he UK.   They awarded her 8.5 for trot & 9 for canter, also stating she was the bet foal they had seen this year!!  16.1hh Head Oldenurg & SH(GB) studbook graded mare.

May has been a broodmare all of her life (due to an injury at 3 yrs old) and produce some amazing foals including Ruby Tuesday,  a grade A show jumper, numerous dressage horses and last year’s foal CDS Santropez by Santana Hfd (Sandro Hit) has been purchased by Angela Craine from Holden fold dressage as a potential dressage horse of the future.

Always a super mum and good at keeping all the others in line , a super mare.

She had another stunning foal this year CDS Coco-au-lait (seen above) but that will be her last, Ria is a super moving, kind filly and is to be retained for competing & breeding . We are very sad but as she has been a broodmare all her life, the many years of carrying some very big foals around has taken its toll on her back legs, she will therefore be retired but will still be a very useful member of our broodmare group to act as nanny.  She will always have a place with us here. 

 

But what a way to finish her breeding career, she was graded very recently into the Oldenburg Verbrand main studbook, an honour indeed and in particular for an English TB mare!!  This reflects her true quality and recognises some of the achievements of her wonderful offspring.  Not bad for a 21 yr old broodmare who has had at least 12 foals!!

 

      Gooseford Enor (Ellie) KWPN

15.2hh 2006 KWPN mare By Goshka Ringo (Ferro).  Ellie is a well bred dressage mare with , solid conformation and correct uphill paces.  She is extremely well put together compact little mare, who is guaranteed to produce a coloured foal, WHATEVER the colour of the stallion. She has super paces and is the sweetest mare,  she was the youngest mare to have a foal this year, and was the easiest in all respects.  She took to motherhood like a duck to water.  She produced our exquisite King Nero II, the last foal in the world by AES graded coloured trakahner stallion King Nero.  Nero jnr is being retained by the stud to go forward for grading as a breeding stallion wih AES.

She is in foal to Sanana hfd, due May 2009 with a coloured foal guarantee, this is sure to be a beautiful  dressage foal.

AES pink papered coloured filly 16.1hh by International dressage stallion Sandreo (Sandro hit)

Echo is a beautiful and extremely elegant addition to our broodmare team, and has become a favourite at Lakeview.   She will add quality,  beauty and outstanding movement to our future foals and we are very excited to her 1st foal due June 2010 to OUR amazing coloured Oldenburg (ZfdP graded) stallion “Smooth Design GF “.
